Tunbridge Wells Revision

  • October Half Term YEAR 5 REVISION

During this half-term, we will run a series of revision days to ensure that all topics, covered to date, have been fully retained. Importantly, this gives us a chance to flag up any gaps in knowledge so that we can work together, over the coming months, to ensure that extra classes are taken (or extra work is completed at home), if needed.

  • August YEAR 5 REVISION

Year after year, our August 11+ revision classes have been the vital catalyst towards ensuring that children achieve a positive result in September’s quiz. The classes give children comprehensive oversight of ALL aspects of the Kent Test. In addition, these classes offer a balance between the revision of essential 11+ topics and a series of timed exercises.

Our exclusive learning materials are developed in a way that reflect the precise nature and wording of the 11+ questions that they expect to face.

Next Dates:
Year 5, 11+ revision classes are on Wednesdays and Thursdays, starting the last week of July (29th) and going throughout August, 5 weeks in total. Thursday is a repeat of Wednesdays classes and so pupils only need to attend one or the other. Some parents like to book for the whole day, covering all topics and others like to pick and choose (£26 per hourly class) depending on where the pupil’s weaknesses lie. There is an option of coming along Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon, if pupils want to break up the day. This is the same cost as a whole day (£150). Lunch is the same format as the revision days, 1-2pm, pupils can bring a packed lunch or parents can collect and return for the afternoon session.

If pupils are away for certain topics ie. the big Maths topics at the beginning of the day, we do hold extra classes on Tuesdays and Fridays 12-1pm and 2-3pm where pupils can choose which topic they would like to cover. For example, if a pupil is away week beginning Monday 3rd August they would miss the Angles topic, therefore, they could book in on Friday 21st August 2-3pm and ask to cover Angles in this hour. These bespoke classes can cover any of the topics on the timetable below.
