Classes operate on a weekly rotation between Maths and English. Assessments are ongoing and include learning ten new spellings in each English week and ten mixed times tables (which are timed) every Maths week.
In Maths, amongst other topics, we work through a variety of number bonds, multiplication methods, introduction to fractions and see-saw sums.
In English, we develop comprehension techniques and boost children’s ability for imaginative descriptive content. Furthermore, we devote thorough attention towards the improvement of spelling and punctuation.
With the transition into Key Stage 2, our Year 3 classes follow the national curriculum, giving children that all-important support as they move up through primary education.
